Pastor Scott has Authored a Book
As my parents talked, I initially thought it was an elaborate joke. However, their serious expressions made me realize they were telling the truth. They revealed that my dad was not my biological father and that he had adopted me when I was two years old. This revelation provided a perspective that explained much about my family and unleashed a flood of questions and emotions that would take years to resolve.
At 35, with nearly a decade of experience as a child welfare social worker and degrees in psychology and professional counseling, I discovered I was a Late Discovery Adoptee. Learning that my parents had lied to me all my life shattered the identity I had built with their guidance.
This book offers a raw account of the psychological and spiritual journey I underwent to heal my identity. It outlines a process that many others can use to find healing and peace in their own identities.
