10 Towns Church

COVID Safety Policy

Medina Candlelight Walk/Holiday Initiative 2020

1. For the Tour of Gingerbread Homes and Miniature Villages, we are asking guests to wear either a face mask or shield upon entry of the building, unless they are medically unable to do so. According to HIPPA guidelines and accordance with the Governor, we will not be asking why.

  • Guests will be directed through signs and verbal cues to stay within their family/friend group through the tour.
  • Hand sanitizers will be placed throughout the facility, as well as regular sanitizing of the restrooms and high contact surfaces by church staff.
  • There will be a dedicated entrance and exit to decrease cross traffic for the tour.
  • The guest groups will be admitted to allow for spacing and less congestion.
  • Although the Governor allows speakers/presenters to not be masked, church representatives who are guides will wear face shields while presenting.
  • We will not be serving refreshments or provide congregate seating this year, but guests are encouraged to take their time and enjoy themselves.
  • There will be a Facebook Livestream so that participants/guests who do not wish to enter the building may enjoy the festivities and participate in this charitable cause.

2. For the Make It Take It Craft Days and the Christmas Countdown storytimes, we are asking guests to wear either a face mask or shield upon entry of the building, unless they are medically unable to do so. According to HIPPA guidelines and accordance with the Governor, we will not be asking why.

  • Storytime seating will be blocked to allow for social distancing between family/friend groups (our stuffed animals want to hear the stories too, and will be occupying some chairs!)
  • Once groups are seated, they may remove masks as long as they are in their seats, similar to restaurant rules. If moving about, please replace mask or shield until returning to your seat.
  • Hand sanitizers will be placed throughout the facility, as well as regular sanitizing of the restrooms and high contact surfaces by church staff in between event time slots.
  • A sign up genius registration will allow for guests to come in a certain time slot (five separate slots offered each date) for control of attendance.
  • Although the Governor allows speakers/presenters to not be masked, church representatives/storytellers will wear face shields while presenting.
  • We will not be serving refreshments during these events.
